Welcome to the USD #112, Claflin Jr./Sr. High website. Home of the Wildcats. We hope these pages give you an idea of the possibilities for success that Claflin and USD #112 offers its students. Please check out the calendar for upcoming events. The website is constantly changing so please check back often for updates. Our Jr/Sr High school serves students in the 7th through 12th grades. Our staff is composed of experienced, caring professionals who strive to provide the best education for all of our students. Claflin has an outstanding history of achievement both academically and in extra-curricular activities. Students at Claflin have annually reached and exceeded AYP benchmarks. Test scores on the Kansas State Assessment and ACT are consistently above the state average. On the field and courts, Claflin has an outstanding tradition of high levels of competition including several state championships. Our students also do well in Art, Forensics, Scholar’s Bowl and many participate in the All School Play. Overall, approximately 90% of our students are active in extra-curricular activities. Classrooms at Claflin are well equipped with many forms of technology. Computers are equipped for internet, word processing as well as many other programs. Several teachers have interactive white boards in their classrooms to expand the use of technology. We are very proud of the fact that we are a small school that can meet the individual needs of the students, yet offer a wide variety of curricular choices to our students. We look forward to the upcoming year and the changes, challenges and rewards it brings.
