ESC of Lake Erie West

On January 1, 2012, the Lucas County Educational Service Center changed its name to the Educational Service Center of Lake Erie West. Located in the heart of Toledo and established in 1913, the ESC of Lake Erie West is one of the largest educational service centers in the State of Ohio. The highly qualified professionals on our staff serve students in eight school districts including: Anthony Wayne, Maumee, Ottawa Hills, Perrysburg, Rossford, Springfield, Sylvania City, and Washington Local Schools. Many state programs such as preschool accreditation, community schools, ongoing education, gifted education, public preschool, and others have been piloted through the ESC of Lake Erie West. Board members, staff members, programs, and materials have received local, state, and national recognition for outstanding achievement. The mission of the Educational Service Center of Lake Erie West is to provide quality resources and services that meet the unique needs of our partners in the educational community. Key values that define the Educational Service Center of Lake Erie West are providing quality services to our educational partners; being flexible and responsive to the individualized needs of our partners; promoting collaboration with local schools, school districts and community agencies to plan current and future program offerings and services; taking a leadership role in creating innovative programs that provide new opportunities for our partners; and maintaining cost effectiveness for the schools and school districts served by the Educational Service Center of Lake Erie West.
