Greater Clark County Schools is the largest of three school districts in Clark County and we're growing rapidly. Located on the Ohio River in Southern Indiana, the Greater Clark district comprises 215 square miles. Jeffersonville serves as the county seat and is located on the Ohio River directly north of Louisville, Kentucky. Clarksville, the second largest community in the region, is also located on the Ohio River between Jeffersonville and New Albany. Charlestown has a population of approximately 6,000 and is located ten miles east of Jeffersonville. New Washington is a small rural town on the far north side of the county with a population under 1,000.
