De Soto

Each school day, the district welcomes more than 6,880 students through the doors of its 12 campuses, including seven elementary schools, three middle schools, and two high schools. USD 232 encompasses an area of 100+ square miles in northwest Johnson County. It draws from the communities of De Soto, 60 percent of Shawnee, 40 percent of Lenexa, a portion of Olathe, and unincorporated areas of the county. USD 232 has a record of steady, marked improvement and a continual quest for excellence. One hundred percent of our schools achieved Adequate Yearly Progress and the Kansas Standard of Excellence. The school district has built a record of proud achievement in instructional program quality, policy development, efficiency of operation and student co-curricular activities. Characterized by remarkable degrees of dedication to children's best interests, citizens, patrons, boards of education, administrators, teachers and auxiliary personnel have worked diligently to provide the best learning opportunities possible.
