About Elkhart

Description provided by the district or community — not part of the NCES dataset.

Elkhart Community Schools: The Only Choice You Need Elkhart Community Schools has everything students need to obtain an excellent education, from highly qualified teachers and a rigorous academic curriculum to initiatives such as the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program and Positive Behavior Supports that focus on teaching important life skills. We’re so proud of our educational menu here; we’ve opened up our doors to all area students, with no transfer fees required. Many students living outside our district boundaries have enrolled in ECS to take advantage of our expansive high ability and honors programs, state recognized fine arts programs, robotics training at ALL schools, extra-curricular opportunities such as athletics, academic enrichment clubs, and 21st Century Learning Centers, and advances in educational technology that make ECS second to none. These new students were also attracted to a caring teaching staff that is well trained in personalizing instruction, and to a student population that represents all of the neighborhoods in and around Elkhart County. Here at ECS, we treasure and celebrate our socio-economic and ethnic diversity. What better way to prepare students for the future than by teaching them today in an atmosphere that mirrors the one in which they will one day be living and working.
