Welcome to North Shelby’s Website. We’re glad that you’ve taken time to “check us out”. One of the goals listed in our Comprehensive School Improvement Plan is to improve communication between the school and parents/community. Our website is just one way we hope to do so. I’m certainly proud to be a part of such an outstanding community and school district. North Shelby is in my opinion one of the top schools in the state and certainly so in terms of rural school districts. We consistently strive to provide an environment in which our students can feel safe and where our children find a variety of avenues to achieve to their potential academically. We also want to provide ample opportunities for our students to participate in extracurricular and co curricular organizations and activities. Our school is very rich in the latest technology. It continues to be our goal to utilize these recourses in ways that will inform, support, and prepare our students for academic excellence. Seven of the past eight years the North Shelby District has been recognized by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as having achieved “Distinction in Performance”. This is certainly a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff as well as the academic commitment of our students.
