Holmdel Township School District

The Community of Holmdel has a growing population of approximately 15, 000 residents. Holmdel is located 45 miles south of New York City in central New Jersey in Monmouth County. During the Revolutionary War the British named this area the Hornets Nest because of the sting from our fighting patriots meant frequent defeat to the British raiders. The Holmdel Hornets fought proudly for liberty and their families. These patriots toiled long and hard to build a good life and a prosperous community. That Holmdel tradition lives today, in our community, in our hearts, in our homes and in our schools. It is therefore fitting, that the Holmdel Community is home to the PNC Bank Arts Center and the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans' Memorial.
