The board of education adopts the following state goals as applicable to the school district and the high school (Policy 2131).Finalize VTSD organizational chart.Anticipate and respond to the mass retirements of administrators to maintain a cohesive and effective leadership structure.Continue the initiatives set forth in advancing student achievement in all formal and standardized assessments.Continue to objectively measure the level of effectiveness brought about as the result of our special education restructuring initiatives.Continue to objectively measure the level of effectiveness brought about as the result of our custodial restructuring initiatives.To reduce the amount of dollars spent on district-wide energy and plan on implementation of alternative sources of energy.o create, revise, present, and implement the SY 2011-2012 annual school budget to assure the balance of fiscal responsibility and an educationally appropriate, successful outcome.To create and implement a progressive technology plan for the entire school district which places Vernon at the forefront of K-12 school districts in NJ.To develop a plan for response in the event of continuous enrollment declines which includes, but is not limited to the potential for reducing one facility and restructuring.
