Santa Rosa is home to Luna Community College, as well as four schools, two medical clinics, a 58-bed nursing home, and a new state-of-the art hospital. Mesalands Community College and New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas are within 70 miles of Santa Rosa. Another city asset is a community golf course. Santa Rosa also has a two-runway airport - part of the runway was Route 66 in a previous incarnation.
