The Groton Central School District is located in Central New York State and is situated in northern Tompkins County and parts of Cortland and CayugaCounties. The school district serves 2,400 Village of Groton residents plus another 2,800 living in the surrounding area.Groton Elementary School is a PreKindergarten - grade 5 building. The Groton Middle School, grades 6 through 8, and the Groton High School, grades 9 through 12, are housed in the middle-high school building. Groton Central School holds firmly to traditional academic standards and maintains a wide range of programs to meet the differing interests and abilities of its students.
