Overview:Maureen Joy Charter School is a free K-8 public charter school located in Durham, North Carolina. Our school is tuition free and open to the public. In the 2011-12 school year we will have over 325 students in grades K-8. We focus on college-preparatory academics and character development to build our students into well-rounded citizens prepared for high school, college, and the world beyond. Our Mission: Maureen Joy Charter School exists to provide its students with the academic and character skills necessary to succeed in the high school, college, and the world beyond.
