Durham Charter School

Mission / Goals-Healthy Start Academy works in partnership with parents and the community to provide a challenging, character-based education for its diverse K-8 student body. Through a strong curriculum and an atmosphere of high expectations, we help students master basic skills and realize their full academic potential in preparation for higher education and life-long learning.We enhance students’ educational experience with many support initiatives, such as health and counseling services, individualized learning programs, cooperative learning classes, supplemental learning projects, after-school tutoring, and classroom technology.
