Mitchell County Schools

It is the mission of Mitchell County Schools to collaborate with families and community partners to provide a safe, caring, and engaging learning environment that prepares graduates to become responsible citizens in a diverse, global society.Mitchell County Schools is a public school system nestled in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina.  We have nine schools in our system, which are listed below.  We currently have two high schools, two middle schools, four elementary schools and one primary school.  We currently serve  students grades Kindergarten through 12.  We invite you to visit our schools, meet our administration, faculty and staff, or call us if you have questions.  Our system is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
