Nash-Rocky Mount Public Schools has 27 school sites and centers including 19 elementary, 5 middle, 4 high, 1 early college high school and 1 alternative school. More than 17,000 students are enrolled, with a diverse student body. The district is the largest employer in Nash and Edgecombe County with over 2200 employees. More than half of those are employed as teachers.
