About MANVEL 125

Mission Statement-Manvel School is Committed to Helping All Students Succeed.Manvel Public School is dedicated to providing all students with the educational foundation necessary to succeed in school and life. To ensure your child’s success, we have set high standards that are reflected in what is taught in our classrooms. The federal education legislation, entitled the No Child Left Behind Act, requires that all districts and schools throughout the nation make Adequate Yearly Progress. The No Child Left Behind Act requires each state to set annual Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) goals that districts, schools, and students are to meet between the 2013-2014 school year. It is the goal of the No Child Left Behind Act that 100% of students will reach proficiency in reading and mathematics by 2014. Each year, as part of these requirements, the state releases Adequate Yearly Progress reports for each school district in the state of North Dakota. These reports measure our district’s performance in terms of the percentage of students who are at or above state-defined academic standard goals in reading and mathematics as measured by the North Dakota State Assessment. The reports are called Adequate Yearly Progress reports (otherwise known as AYP reports), and the district is required to share this report with its parents.
