CONSTELLATION SCHOOLS: MANSFIELD COMMUNITY ELEMENTARY

Mansfield Community Elementary has been in operation since August of 2002. We currently serve approximately 120 students in grades Kindergarten through Third. We pride ourselves in ensuring our students, staff, and parents become a community of learners where children excel, become responsible students, and are exposed to the highest of standards. Our staff is made up of dedicated professionals who are committed to education, and the success of all children. Mansfield Community Elementary is proud of our academic achievement. All chosen curriculum is aligned with the Ohio Academic Content Standards and is designed to guide students towards their grade level goals. Content areas include Reading/Language Arts, Spelling/Phonics, Math, Science/Health, and Social Studies. Teachers set high standards for achievement and behavior in their classrooms and expect that with age appropriate teaching methods, all students will achieve to their potential. Title I services (small grouping with a reading/math teacher) and Special Education services are implemented to assist students with individual needs to reach their grade level goals. Furthermore, instruction is enhanced through the use of Technology in the computer lab, integrating classroom projects with such programs as word processing, slideshows, presentations,and Internet research. Special area instruction includes Art, Music, and Physical Education. In addition, parent activity, community involvement, and Character Education enhances our educational plan as well, which secures a safe and nurturing learning environment for our students.
