LCA provides the best array of educational options for our students. In turn, we believe these options benefit the success of our LCA students. Lakewood City Academy is available to students in grades 6-12 for the on-site academy and grades K-12 for the digital program on-site or off-site. LCA offers differentiated programs to provide students multiple skills and methods of learning. Types of learning include: LCA-center based learning, digital i -courses, credit recovery, on-site digital programs, off-site digital programs work-study program, volunteer credit program, OGT/OAT connection courses and many other options available based on the needs of the individual student. The digital learning program is for digital learning on-site or off-site ( with state mandated requirements). Each LCA program is structured to meet students needs and provide the student with an opportunity to be successful in the classroom. Lakewood City Academy’s goals are to keep all students on track for graduation, improve student attendance, expand learning, improve parental involvement and provide flexible instructional programs. Lakewood City Academy offers guidance counseling for course selections, course guidance and career/college assistance. In addition LCA offers Drop Out Prevention Counseling. Drop Out Prevention Counseling is for students who need assistance in everyday life challenges/obstacles. Information covers various topics such as drug/alcohol use/abuse, parent/child relations, teenage crisis,teenagers in the courts, failing grades, depression, truancy, mental health, etc. The staff and administration at Lakewood City Academy are committed to providing Lakewood students with an education that meets the individual academic, social and personal needs of students.
