About Brooklyn City

Description provided by the district or community — not part of the NCES dataset.

Brooklyn is a city school district of approximately 1,500 students who attend school in one of three buildings. Brookridge Elementary School serves our students in grades K-4. Brooklyn Middle School, grades 5-7 and Preschool, occupies the east wing of a building that also houses Brooklyn High School, grades 8-12, the Treasurer's Office and the Central Office. The District is affiliated with the Polaris Joint Vocational School. The mission of the Brooklyn City School District is to inspire and guide all students to be successful, positive, and productive citizens of a global community who embrace lifelong learning. The community of the Brooklyn City Schools, through collaborative efforts, will be a dynamic learning environment in which all students will maximize their intellect, as well as their physical, social, and emotional well-being. Everyone in the Brooklyn City Schools will be respected, acknowledge differences, have a sense of safety, belonging, and pride in their respective learning environments.
