We strive to provide a caring and quality instructional environment for our students – and our efforts are paying off. Seaside School District has proven to be a strong educational leader in the State of Oregon. Our students’ academic achievement is among the best in the State. We are pleased with our students’ success and attribute this record of excellence to several key factors. In 1992, we created the District School Improvement Steering Committee. This group of teachers and administrators from each building and grade level is responsible for coordinating school improvement among all five schools. For their work, the Steering Committee earned the Oregon School Boards Association’s Salute to Success award and the Oregon Business Council’s Employer’s for Educational Excellence award. Our number one commitment is to the children of today and the adults that they will become in the future. Our teachers work together to provide extensive academic programs and practical experiences that prepare our students for a rapidly changing world. As our society becomes more complex, we can best prepare our students through cultivating their love of learning, developing their skills in finding and using relevant information, and facilitating critical and flexible thinking.
