STREAM Academy, formerly PA Learners Online, is a cyber charter school managed by the Allegheny Intermediate Unit. That means that we’re a publically funded K – 12 school — open to everyone — and governed by some of the region’s most experienced educators. The mission of STREAM Academy Regional Cyber Charter School, formerly PA Learners Online, is to develop an online model of excellence in education in which our students are equipped with the skills to become leaders in the STREAM fields. The vision of the STREAM Academy is to establish small learning communities that will provide a K-12 continuum of opportunity where students will explore real world problems. The program will meet the needs of tomorrow’s workforce by producing students who are critical thinkers, problem solvers and innovators.
