First Philadelphia Preparatory CS

First Philadelphia Preparatory Charter School, or First Philly as it has come to be called, opened in September 2002 with temporary classrooms on three different neighborhood campuses. In August of 2004, the school opened a new, state-of-the-art facility that has transformed the property at Tacony and Church Streets into a hub that serves as a gathering place for the entire community. The Mission of First Philadelphia Preparatory Charter School is to provide a well-balanced literacy-based education, contributing to the formation of life-long learners and leaders of the global community.
