Blue Mountain SD

The Blue Mountain School District is a rural district located in southern Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. The school district, which adjoins the city of Pottsville, includes medium-sized residential areas, but continues to have fertile, well-kept farms. Blue Mountain School District serves a community of approximately 19,500 citizens living in a 127 square mile area. Blue Mountain School District consists of three elementary buildings, one middle school, and one high school. Each building is staffed with full-time administrators, appropriate professional and support staff, and has the necessary resources to provide an efficient and updated educational program. Mission: The Blue Mountain School District, in a partnership with parents, community, faculty and administration is committed to providing in a safe caring environment, opportunities for all students to become successful, lifelong learners by encouraging the development of knowledge, skills, technology and experience necessary to meet the Pennsylvania Academic Standards and to be positive, productive and tolerant members of a global society.
