The Forest Area School District will educate all students by “Beating the Odds” today for success tomorrow. Education can best be accomplished where there is: Seriousness of Purpose, High Expectations, Honesty and Integrity, Compassion and Understanding, Discipline and Order. Education requires the cooperative efforts of the administration, faculty, staff, students, parents, and community members who have the best interests of the students uppermost in their minds and hearts. Each is responsible and accountable in their role. The education process is not limited to academics but also embraces personal wellness, functional community skills, and critical thinking. The community is a valuable resource in the education of our children. All people have intrinsic worth and the right to achieve their maximum potential. Effective communication and mutual respect are necessary to achieve our mission.The faculty and staff should be supported and encouraged to participate in continuing education. All people need to learn how to use the resources available to them. Well educated citizens assure the continuation of our democratic society. All children need to believe in their own worth in order to envision a successful future.
