Line Mountain SD

The Line Mountain School District is classified as a rural school district. Our 154 square miles are comprised of nine townships and one borough as follows: Jackson, Jordan, Little Mahanoy, Lower Augusta, Lower Mahanoy, Upper Mahanoy, Washington, West Cameron, Zerbe and the Borough of Herndon. Our elementary schools include Dalmatia Elementary School (Kindergarten through Grade 4), Leck Kill Elementary School (Kindergarten through Grade 4) and Trevorton Elementary School (Kindergarten through Grade 6). Line Mountain Jr/Sr High School includes grades 7 through 12. Technology opportunities in the district are provided by computer labs in each of the elementary buildings and 4 computer centers at the jr/sr high school which includes 11 wireless lab. All buildings have internet accessibility. A wide range of services are provided to special needs students with a focus on providing equal opportunities for all students. There are a variety of extra-curricular activities including instrumental and choral music as well as service clubs and organizations. The school district participates in 13 PIAA sports.
