Wilmington Area SD

The Wilmington Area School District straddles the Mercer/Lawrence County line, and covers an area of 111 square miles. The District includes the Lawrence County townships of Plain Grove, Pulaski, Washington, and Wilmington, the boroughs of New Wilmington and Volant, and Wilmington Township, Mercer County. The District is a member of the Midwestern Intermediate Unit (IU) IV in Grove City, which includes Butler, Lawrence and Mercer counties. The mission of the Wilmington Area School District, a caring, respectful, educational community that is sensitive to family values and individual differences, is to provide, in a secure environment, a rigorous academic program, resources and learning opportunities that will prepare students to achieve educational excellence and reach their potential as responsible, self-motivated, and collaborative members of a dynamic society.
