Mainland Preparatory Academy was founded in 1997 by educators who sought to operate an open-enrollment charter school for students who reside in an identified geographical area: Dickinson, Galveston, Hitchcock, LaMarque, and Texas City. Our Mission: Our mission is to provide a quality education to its students through a structured program of basic skills acquisition. Our program of activities are designed to prepare students to be productive, valuable members of society with a strong foundation of knowledge and essential skills. Our Vision: Provide a secure learning environment for our students while fostering development of aesthetic expression and appreciation.
