The Andrews Independent School district has a history of proud achievement in its program of working for educational excellence. For the past 30 years, the major thrust has been toward high-quality learning experiences for the students of the community. As a result, the community enjoys a nation-wide reputation for having one of the outstanding school systems in the country. The board of trustees recognizing the diversity of the students of the district, believes that educational methods should be directed to the maximum possible degree toward an individualized curriculum providing for the development of each student's potential - intellectual, physical, emotional, social, and moral. It is further recognized that the total school experience - teaching, counseling, activity program, and all other - must start where the student is, not where someone wishes he were.
