Luling ISD District Mission Statement: Luling ISD believes it is responsible for preparing students to live and work in a changing world. To be successful as a District we must: prepare students to be lifelong learners; provide students with a balanced curriculum; assist students to develop citizenship and economic responsibility; develop students' appreciation of their American heritage and its multicultural richness; assist students to develop positive attitudes towards schooling and its importance to their future. Luling ISD has committed itself to providing instruction at a high level of quality and providing the resources necessary for quality programs. The District is also committed to accounting for the results of school programs. The District and each campus believe that the following are characteristics of a good school: effective administrative and instructional campus leadership; instructional focus; high and well-understood expectations; teaching and testing appropriate objectives; measuring and monitoring student progress; good learning climate and appropriate student discipline; good discipline; good parental and community involvement; clean, attractive, and safe campuses. The District believes that all children can learn the necessary basic skills to be independent, productive citizens.
