NEW DEAL ISD

New Deal is located six miles north of Lubbock. Our school district includes the city of New Deal and the adjoining rural area that totals 119 square miles. Our district serves approximately 700 students and provides a balanced and challenging curriculum, building the foundation for productive lives. Students of the New Deal Independent School District excel in academic competition, with the majority of our graduating seniors planning to continue their education. Our campuses are recognized by the state for academic excellence. Extracurricular activities are an important part of a well-rounded education. New Deal is proud to have a history of extracurricular excellence that includes All-State performances in band, leadership accomplishments in career and technology programs, numerous state playoff appearances in both team and individual sports, and numerous UIL literary accomplishments, including a District Championship in UIL Science. The New Deal ISD is a Class 1A school district. Our faculty and staff are committed to the success of our students, offering each a quality education and at the same time, setting examples worthy of being followed by your student. Our Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) results are typically above the state average, with our district receiving several Gold Performance Awards from the Texas Education Agency. Overall, our scores have been exceptional compared to the rest of the state of Texas, which has become a tradition for our schools.
