MISSION STATEMENT: The Prairie Valley Independent School District seeks to promote the general welfare by encouraging and developing in each individual his best personal and social competence. Effort is made to foster an atmosphere of security and cultivate purposes and interests, which lead to a worthwhile, satisfying and happy life. Adaptation of material, activities and instruction provides opportunity for students of varying abilities, interest, needs, disciplines and environmental backgrounds to experience success. Though specific objectives change with pupil age, the central goal of preparing students to participate responsibly in our democratic way of life remains throughout the program of instruction. Many forces affect the learning process and the behavior of an individual. The Prairie Valley ISD seeks to establish and maintain meaningful reciprocal relationships with the home and community in the hope that as a result of our joint efforts each student may become more valuable to himself and to society.
