Mission Statement: The School Board, administration, staff, and parents of the Highland School District are committed to providing an educational experience which will provide students the resources and structure to develop appropriate skills, competencies, and attitudes to become productive members of a dynamic and rapidly changing society. The Highland Schools will: Promote the strengths of a quality education in a small, rural community; Promote development of culturally enriched citizens who understand appropriate communication skills for being pro-active problem solvers in an emerging global market, aware of the implications of new technologies; Foster open communication with patrons and community to assess resources, anticipate change and clarify goals.
